Open a shop that looks like yours, not like everyone else's.
Every shop on Comptoir is its own building — its own server, its own database, its own address — with a designer you talk to. Describe the place you have in mind; the storefront follows.
-
“Make it feel like an old roastery: warm, a little dark, a serif with character.”
Ember & Oak

-
“We paint tiles in Lisbon. Cobalt and white, crisp, like the walls in Alfama.”
Casa Azul
Hand-painted tiles
-
“Night-market plant stall: deep green, a bright lime, friendly rounded shapes.”
moss & fern
Plants for dark rooms
-
“A Paris pâtisserie at dusk. Blush pink, a little gold, elegant italics.”
Pâtisserie Lune
Cakes to order
-
“A tailor's workshop. Black, chalk white, one red thread. Loud type.”
FIL & FER

Point at a shop to read the sentence its owner gave the designer.
Say it. The draft changes. You publish.
The designer reads your catalogue, then edits a draft of your storefront: colours, type, sections, the words in them. Shoppers keep seeing the published version until you're happy. Try a sentence:
Espresso browns with a copper accent, Fraunces for headings, and the bestsellers right under the hero.
One street. Separate buildings.
Most platforms keep every merchant in one big database and sort rows by account. On Comptoir each shop is its own instance, standing on its own database. Your customers, orders and keys never share a table with anyone else's, and a neighbour's sale day can't slow your checkout.
- Its own address
- Storefront and admin live at shop-yourname.solisoft.net.
- Your Stripe, your money
- Customers pay into your Stripe account. The secret key is stored encrypted.
- Drafts until you publish
- The designer never touches what shoppers see.
What opening a shop takes
An afternoon, most of it spent on your products. Checkout works in test mode from the first minute, so you can place an order before you've connected anything.
